Delete your account

You can delete your Chat Octopus account at any time. Your subscription is cancelled straight away and your data is deleted thirty days later. During those thirty days you can sign back in and choose Keep my account to stop it. After that it is permanent and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

• Your profile, display name, and account credentials.
• Every conversation, message, attachment, note, template, and asset stored under your account.
• Subscription and usage records associated with your account.

Billing records are kept as tax and dispute evidence, as described in the Privacy Policy. Backups are retained for up to thirty days for disaster recovery and are then purged on a rolling schedule, in line with the retention practice described in the Privacy Policy.

Sign in below and confirm your account email to delete. The same flow is available in the mobile app under Account → Danger zone → Delete account.

Delete by email

If you can no longer access your account, email [email protected] from the address registered to the account with the subject “Account deletion request.” We will verify ownership and delete the account within 30 days.
